fall front PORCH rugs
I’ve had this rubber pumpkin door mat from Kirkland’s for 5 seasons now. It’s timeless and has held up great throughout the years.
Purchasing a decent weather resistant mat that’s classic and long lasting will help save a few dollars since you don’t have to keep switching out a faded coir mat every year. Not that I don’t love them, I totally do!
I’ve also had this outdoor trellis rug for a few years now. It’s a great neutral piece that can work for practically any season. So investing in something neutral is an easy way to make sure your rug always goes with your seasonal decor!
DIY your fall porch decor
Making your own decor for fall is one of the best ways to decorate on a budget.
I held onto this fall garland from last fall and found out it was back in stock again at Michael’s. So I decided to copy cat a traditional Pottery Barn look by creating my own matching wreath and garland in this tutorial.
I’m super happy with the matching look and it only took me about 10 minutes to make!
fall porch mums
What fall porch wouldn’t be complete without mums?!
I scored a heck of a deal at Lowe’s by shopping one of their outdoor sales and all of my mums were only $5 each!
I was really impressed with how healthy these mums were. Now they just need to bloom!
fall porch planters
Just like with a lot of my other seasonal decor, I stuck to neutral black planters for our porch. They’ve carried us through each season and you can see how I styled them up with some color last spring.
These gorgeous plantation planters were a little on the pricey side for my taste, but well worth it in my opinion. They can be used for any season. And bonus, if you have a black thumb like me, they’re self watering and will help you keep your precious plants alive.
fall front porch pillows
A great way to save money on your fall porch decor is to think outside the season with different types of pillows.
I used some inexpensive harvest gold pillows that I had lying around to match my fall garland. You don’t have to go out and buy all the pillows that say fall or harvest to get an easy autumn look!
And these classic black rocking chairs have lasted us quite a while too, making them easy to style for different seasons.
fall porch pumpkins
I can’t be the only person who hates throwing down tons of money on faux pumpkins right?! Which is exactly why I wait for these guys to go on sale and then add to my collection a little more each year.
Michael’s typically has great fall decor sales and their faux pumpkins are always so realistic. I added in a mini hay bale and some traditional looking harvest pumpkins this fall.
Add in the unexpected
I have to tell you, my favorite part of this little fall porch design was throwing in a few twinkle lights in the mums for a fun night effect.
For just a few dollars I jazzed up this little space for dreamy nighttime look and I have all the heart eyes going on.
I hope this post gave you some ideas to think outside the box this fall and decorate your own porch or outdoor space on a budget.
